Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Operations Manager to oversee our activities at Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI). In this role, you will be the key contact for our customer, as well as our maintenance partner. You will manage the day-to-day airside operations, coordinate transport and maintenance activities for our GSE fleet, and ensure operational excellence on-site. This position requires a proactive leader who combines technical understanding with strong commercial and customer-focused skills.
Key Responsibilities
Act as primary contact for customers and partners on-site and airport authorities.
Ensure operational GSE availability according to our customer needs and requirements.
Manage the GSE fleet, including deployment, transport logistics, and maintenance planning.
Supervise and support local staff, including technicians; potentially build and lead a growing on-site team and possibly set-up a new workshop.
Ensure smooth communication and operational alignment with HiSERV headquarters and other locations.
Drive continuous improvement and business development within the PMI operation.
Manage budgets, costs, and service performance in line with company standards and customer agreements.
Requirements
Several years of experience in aviation operations or GSE management.
Strong commercial understanding and hands-on operational mindset.
Proven experience in customer relations and operational leadership.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and operational performance.
Fluent in Spanish and English, German language skills are an advantage.
Valid driver’s license and ability to work airside.
